Overall Chic

Overalls: Topshop // Crop top: Zara // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Bag: Celine // Jacket: Zara // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Rings: Bauble Bar (here and here) // Watch: Michael Kors

Overalls have always secretly been one of my favorites, I was a kid in the 90s after all! I remember being around 8 years old, and my friend Sarah and I donned our matching overalls with pride...sporting Limited Too cat graphic tees underneath. We were so cool. Now, overalls have received a modern update... they are slimmer, have a lower back, and well I have got to admit they are down right chic. So how do you ask have overalls broken down the walls past farmer and into fashiony? I think it is the fact they are a natural step from the denim-on-denim and boyfriend jean trends that have captivated our closets in recent seasons. So be bold, and try a pair... you will find that this onesie wonder will add a lot to your weekend routine. I hope everyone has a great week, and as always thank you for reading.

Tropical

Skirt: Cameo the Label c/o Mulberry Dreams // Shirt: Topshop // Blazer: H&M (old, similar here) // Necklace: Zara (similar here) // Shoes: J.Crew // Sunnies: RayBan  (On Sale!) // Bracelets:  Bourbon & Boweties (c/o) and David Yurman

This tropical skirt makes me want to take a vacation! It's bright botanical graphic is the perfect punch of print and color to kick off all of this wonderful weather that we have been having. For the remainder of spring, and into summer I will definitely be living in vivid colors, a lot of white, and metallics... they really are the perfect accent to the tan I hope to have soon. Aside from the print, my favorite part of this skirt by far is the structure and thick fabric that creates a modern yet feminine silhouette. Shop Mulberry Dreams in Fondren for more of Cameo the Label and other great spring and summer pieces. I hope everyone has a wonderful end to their week, and as always thank you for reading.

Downtown Romantic

Crop top: For Love & Lemons c/o Mulberry Dreams // Pants: Elizabeth and James (similar here) // Jacket: Zara // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Clutch: Old (similar here) // Bracelets: David Yurman // Watch: Michael Kors

Did I mention that I love New York City?  Every time I visit, I have every intention of sending for my things and staying. While in the Big Apple last week for Jory's bachelorette, I had a blast with the bride and fellow bridesmaids taking in all city had to offer. This is the ensemble I wore the first night out. I know I have been a little crop top crazy this spring, but this lace version from Mulberry Dreams is by far my absolute favorite. It is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy, making it a home run for a girls weekend! I especially love the sheer back which I balanced with an elegant flowy pant. Head over to Mulberry Dreams in Fondren or shop from their Facebook page here. I hope everyone is having a great hump day, and thank you as always for reading.

Spring in the District

Bag: Loeffler Randall // Jacket: Club Monaco (similar here) // Shirt: Madewell (old, similar here) // Shorts: Zara // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Sunnies: Karen Walker Super Duper // Nails: OPI 'Can't Find my Czechbook in pastel' // Ring: David Yurman

While I was in the Northeast for the NYC Bachelorette party, I made a pre-party stop in D.C. to visit Rob. Not only was it wonderful to see him, but I made it just in time for the famous cherry blossoms. This Spring tradition in the district is a must see, the beautiful pink blooms are simply breathtaking. Rob and I spent the day touring around the city and while sightseeing, I wore this mix of shorts and a light jacket with my favorite (and super comfortable might I add) gladiators. For a touch of print mixing, this Loeffler Randall citrus bag took my black and white ensemble right into spring mode. Not to mention the bright fruit print was a perfect representation of my home and favorite State in the union: Florida.

I hope everyone has a happy Monday and thank you for reading!

Ready, Set, Spring

Shorts: bySMITH c/o AshleGryre // Top: bySmith c/o AshleGryre // Jacket: BCBGMaxazria // Bag: Forever21 (similar here)  // Shoes: Schutz // Lips: Nars 'Yu'

I am loving matching sets for spring. There is something so wonderful about taking the guess work out of getting dressed in the morning. However, because sets are comprised of two pieces, you have the freedom to break them up and style with everything else in your closet. Yes, I have decided short sets are the new dress... but way more versatile. Here I have dressed up my set with a blazer and classic pumps, a perfect combo for happy hour. Speaking of happy, AshleGryre and I have teamed up to give The Quarter Life Closet readers a special 10% off discount with the code QLC10. Just head over to AshleGryre.com and enter the code at checkout. Boom, the week is half way through, and it's time to shop!! Thank you as always for reading.

P.S. To my Jacksonville girls, how amazing is this short set for Jaguar games? It is never to early to plan for football season :)

Sequins & Stripes

Skirt: Greylin c/o AshleGryre // Top: Zara (similar one) // Shoes: Zara (loving these here) // Leather Jacket: Zara (similar one on sale here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker 'Super Duper'

Happy Thursday! With the weekend on the horizon, this outfit is my solution to the spring Friday night out with the girls. I can't express my love for mixing sequins and stripes enough. The sequins elevate the stripes, the stripes mellow out the dressed-up vibe of the sequins. To top it off I layered on my leather jacket for edge, and to ward off the chill in the air after sunset. I hope everyone has a great end to the week, and as always thank you for reading.
