Studded & Cropped

Top: Rachel Zoe c/o AshleGryre // Jeans: JBrand // Bag: Tory Burch // Bracelets: Bourbon and Boweties and David Yurman and Madewell // Lips: NARS 'Yu'

This studded crop top has been a major favorite in my closet lately. It has a great boxy shape that is best complimented by feminine high-waisted silhouettes like these jeans. I also drew some inspiration from the top's designer Rachel Zoe in this outfit. She is definitely famous for her signature laid-back 70's vibe with loose waves and flared denim...all I need now is a catch phrase like "bananas". I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, thank goodness it is almost the weekend. As always, thank you for reading.

Saturday Night

Shorts: Sanctuary c/o AshleGryre // Top: J.Crew // Jacket: Maje (similar here and here )// Shoes: Zara (old) / Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelets: David Yurman & Madewell

Hello Everyone!  While studying for the Bar I occasionally make it out of my study dungeon to enjoy a weekend night out with friends. And though the weather outside is the typical Florida brand of muggy heat, the air-conditioning inside most establishments is reminiscent of an Arctic blast. Enter: leather in the summer. I know it may seem out of place, but a splurge worthy leather jacket from Fall and Winter has entered season-less status. This wardrobe staple is the perfect edgy compliment to flowy shorts and a silky cami. It is nice that on my summer nights out, my margarita is the only thing that is frozen. I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend, and thank you as always for reading.

Surf

Dress: Bless'ed are the Meek c/o Mulberry Dreams // Bikini: old (but similar here) // Bag: Tory Burch (old, similar here) // Hat: J.Crew // Sunnies: RayBan // Ring: David Yurman

When at the beach, a good cover up is essential; those terry cloth Juicy Couture monstrosities should remain in 2004. When choosing a coverup I opt for something modern that can be worn on or off the sand. This black and white dress has great cutouts and is breezy and cool on a hot summer day. When not playing in the surf, it can also be worn about town with a tank underneath and a pair of great sandals. To shop more versatile summer dresses, check out Mulberry dreams here. I hope you have a great rest of your week, and thank you as always for reading.

Weekend Wear

Shorts: BlankNYC // Blazer: BCBG // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Shirt: J.Crew // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelets: David Yurman // Ring: David Yurman // Bag: Vintage Chanel

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend! When it comes to weekend dressing, I love to mix my ultra casual pieces with more polished work-week appropriate items. What could be more casual then cutoffs, and more polished than a white blazer? The two items play well together and odd pairings are a great way to maximize my wardrobe. My gladiator sandals are also a weekend must-have, they make every outfit feel just a little trendier, and this particular pair are beyond comfortable. I guess you could say this is my summer Saturday uniform. Have a great beginning to the week, and thank you for reading!

Mesh Mix

Shirt: Gracia c/o AshleGryre // Cami (underneath): J.Crew // Pants: Clover Canyon // Shoes: Shoemint // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Rayban // Jewelry: David Yurman

Mesh is usually associated with sportswear. I however, have never been associated with anything remotely sporty. And though my eye-hand coordination is lacking in the athletic arena, it's ok; coordination has always meant more to me when it comes to fashion anyway. This particular mesh top is a departure from the typical... I love the detachable collar and the boxy modern shape. And though it is sheer, the collar gives off a proper vibe. To add a little more oomph, you could switch out the camisole underneath for a crop top. In the spirit of the sporty-yet-not theme, I paired the mesh top with printed pants. These graphic beauties are basically chic track pants... and luckily they are equally as comfortable. And there you have it, my attempt at sportswear! Here is to all those girls who were never allowed to be Sporty Spice in their third grade friend group... Posh Spice was cooler anyway. I hope everyone has a great rest of their week, and thank you as always for reading.

Summer Style & Raise.com

Dress: BCBG (old, similar here) // Shoes: Zara (Similar here) // Hat: J.Crew // Bag: Loeffler Randall (last seen here) // Lips: Maybeline Electric Orange // Bracelets: David Yurman and Madewell // Rings: David Yurman and Bauble Bar

The little white dress (or LWD) is one of my favorite summer staples. A LWD feels airy and feminine, and in an eyelet cotton it is perfect for the Florida heat. Dressed up or down, a white dress (much like it's LBD counterpart) can virtually work for any occasion. This one in particular I have had for years and summer, after summer, I am happy to report it re-enters my rotation. It is nice to know that some things really never go out of style. To spice up my tried and true LWD, I added a new favorite...my citrus clutch.  Lush prints featuring fruit, palms and other tropical graphics are everywhere this season. A clutch is a great way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe, it provides just the right pop without going overboard.

When shopping for classic summertime staples, or bright new trends, check out Raise.com. Raise is a new marketplace where you can buy discounted gift cards to your favorite brands, and sell your unused gift cards for cash. They have gift cards from many of my favorite brands such as Nordstrom, Sephora and Anthropologie. To sell your unused gift cards click here. Check out Raise to learn more; the concept is brilliant.  To I hope everyone has wonderful start to their week and thank you as always for reading.

Nautical Mix

Shorts: ASOS // Shirt: J.Crew // Shoes: Kate Spade // Jacket: J.Crew // Sunnies: Karen Walker Anywhere // Bracelets: David Yurman // Lips: Maybeline in Electric Orange // Bag: Vintage

Navy and white stripes are the epitome of east-coast style.  Whether you are near the water, or miles away, they add a classic and nautical vibe to a wardrobe.  Here I paired two different sizes of stripes in the same classic palette and threw in some polka-dots for good measure. The field jacket helps to break up all the print and give this girly outfit a touch of contrast. I think being back in Florida is causing me to revert back to my preppy roots. Either way... I love, and will always love stripes for summer. Thank you as always for reading and have a great weekend!

Splatter

Jacket: Tibi // Top: Trouve (similar here) // Jeans: J.Crew (wanting these high waisted ones here) // Shoes: Birkenstock for J.Crew (love the gold ones here too) // Bag: Celine // Lips: Hourglass in Riviera // Nails: CND Vinalux in Electric Orange // Watch: Vintage Rolex // Bracelets: David Yurman and Ali Grace // Sunnies: Karen Walker

I love all-white looks for summer. However, there is a way to do all-white, without it exactly being... well, all-white. This jacket gives my white ensemble a splash of print, while maintaining the minimalist feel of the look. The same goes for adding metallic accessories, like with my Birkenstocks. The extra shine gives a perfect dose of interest, yet they continue to give a clean impression. My black bag may also seem like a wild-card pairing... but in some ways, I think the black bag just makes my "all-white" outfit pop and seem whiter.  Here is to contrast and monochromatic dressing, two completely different ideas that I managed to splatter together. Have a great week, and thank you for reading!
